E&S Key Frame Sample

A key frame process sample for my webtoon that attempts to simulate animation screen captures. Thus, much of the style attempts to utilize animation "shortcuts," cinematic blocking, and text dubs. In this frame, Teiresias is depicted entering the temple of the gods with tears of blood streaming down their face. The shot was difficult because of the multiple light sources involved, and the need to maintain an air of dread as the scene progressed. It is an apocalyptic scene that is meant to establish the story's central conflict.

Of course, there's always room for improvement, specifically with the shadows and the need for more distinct shapes (such as around the lips). On a positive note, the overall exercise exceeded expectations, and I have been able to establish a consistent strategy for creating key frames from a base sketch to a final product.
